In a spray bottle combine:
5 C hot water
3 teaspoon or 1 TBS Borax (You can substitute for Arm & Hammer Super Washing Detergent Booster & Household Cleaner)
½ Cup Vinegar and 1-2 pumps of your favorite dish soap ( we prefer @MrsMeyersCleanDay)
Mix / Shake the hot water and borax in the bottle until the borax is dissolved. Then, add the vinegar and dish soap. Finally, you if you want an added benefit use essential oils. This is new in addition to my grandmother’s recipe. Here are some that I like to use:
Lemon: Natural deodorizer and purifier, helps get grease off
Tea Tree Oil: fights germs, bacteria, viruses and bugs. It helps inhibit influenza virus and can help inhibit influenza virus after 2 hours stopping the replication cycle of the virus
Lavender: Antibacterial and anti-odor
Eucalyptus: Antiseptic, antimicrobial, can help decrease seasonal allergies as it has anti-inflammatory properties.
Orange: we use this substitute for lemon oil for a great smell booster while cleaning. Similar properties as lemon oil
