It’s also possible that garlic can lower blood lipid levels in LDL cholesterol. This helps to support the heart because LDL cholesterol is what can build up and clog the arteries leading to heart attack. It also supports HDL cholesterol which is the ‘good’ cholesterol the body needs. It’s recommended to consumer cayenne frequently to get the most benefits.
Turmeric has constituents called curcuminoids that have been associated with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. One study found that consuming 1 ¼ teaspoons for 4 weeks resulted in reduced LDL cholesterol and C-reactive protein (a marker of inflammation associated with increased risk for heart disease). We recommend adding some black paper to the paste to help the body absorb the curcuminoids in turmeric.
